Performances

The first critical step in a performance is deciding on the desired outcome.

All Full Circle performances are structured to meet a goal or objective outlined by our partnering organizations.

Once the goal is in place, Full Circle offers three levels of interaction with our partnering organizations:

Interactive Workshops: One of our professional facilitators will structure a workshop experience to meet the goal. This experience will enable participants to experience the excitement and creativity of becoming both the audience and the actor. Everyone present will engage in a series of theatre games, exercises and role-plays to reach the desired outcome.

Single or Multiple Performances: A troupe of actors will work with the facilitator to lead the audience through three stages of performance, again working towards a specific outcome. The first stage builds trust and participation with the audience. The second stage clarifies where the audience stands in relation to the issues. And the final stage is where conflicts around the issues are enacted and audiences are encouraged to assist in problem solving.

Consultations: Campaigns and/or long-term educational projects utilize any or all of Full Circle’s formats for programs. In addition, Full Circle’s professional staff is involved in: a needs assessments up front to help determine the role for Full Circle; structuring follow up in between Full Circle sessions with the partnering organization; and assisting in an evaluation process at the conclusion of the series.

A typical Full Circle performance or workshop includes:

  • Experiential exercises which engage audiences in a fun and safe way

  • Scenarios depicting specific issues faced by the audience

  • A discussion between audience members led by a skilled group facilitator

  • An interactive process in which audience members are brought into that action to resolve conflicts.

Performance goals have been structured around:

  • Cultural Diversity

  • Ageism

  • Sexuality

  • Work Place Issues

  • Substance Abuse

  • Helath Care

  • Conflict Resolution

  • Healthy Aging

  • Elder Abuse

  • Homophobia

  • Interpersonal

  • Communications

  • Customer Service

  • And more
